On Wednesday, I’ll be out with my volunteers, continuing to canvass the neighbourhoods in Ward 9 and encouraging people to get out and vote. If you’re still undecided, take a look at some of the information and blogposts here.
Over the past four months, I’ve talked to thousands of residents in Ward 9. We’ve discussed your concerns about many topics: from the speed of traffic on residential streets like Emmeline, to the seasonal nature of School Zone speed limits; from accessibility issues with our sidewalks and Access Transit, to your concerns about property taxes and protecting our greenspaces.
I’ve lived in Wildwood for the past 14 years. I love this neighbourhood, and our city. We have some challenges in the years ahead: can we manage our growth in a way that benefits everyone? And can we do so in a way that lessens the reliance on property taxes? I believe the answer to both is “yes”.
It’s been an honour to have earned your consideration for City Council.
If elected, I’ll be working on these issues, and more.
I’m looking forward to continuing our discussions over the next four years.
And, from all of us, thank-you for your support!
