Today, Robin Mowat announced that he would be seeking the position of City Councillor for Ward 9. Robin is a long-time Wildwood resident, he was a reservist in the Canadian Forces for more than 20 years, and has served on a number of community and non-profit organizations, as well as the City of Saskatoon’s Board of Revision.
“I thank Tiffany Paulsen for her dedication and service to our Ward 9 Community,” said Mowat. “Service is also an important part of my life, and it would be my honour to serve the people of my community.”
Mowat notes that Saskatoon has grown in significant and positive ways over the past few years, and while the city continues to grow, the community is also affected by the regional and national economic climate.
“As an investigator and business consultant, I hear from businesses and residents from this community almost every day about people struggling with joblessness or illness, about small businesses trying to stay afloat in a modern world in turbulent economic times,” said Mowat. “As City Councillor, I will be diligent in guarding the prosperity we have accumulated, I will work to ensure that we invest wisely for the future, and I will champion the initiatives that support the well-being and success of all citizens.”
